
GST registration
GST registration is mandatory for all entities involved in the buying or selling of goods (if annual turnover exceeds Rs.40 lakhs) or providing of services (if annual turnover exceeds Rs.20 lakhs) in India. This turnover limit is Rs. 10 lakhs for entities in the Northeaster and hill states. Entities without GST registration would not be allowed to collect GST from customer or claim input tax credit of GST paid.
Documents Required for GST Registration
Individual / Proprietorship concern
- PAN card of individual
- Aadhar card of individual
- Passport size Photograph of applicant
- Bank Details – Copy of cancelled cheque or first page of Pass Book or first page of recent bank statement
- Registered Office Documents- Copy of ELECTRICITY BILL/LANDLINE BILL, WATER BILL etc in the name of applicant
- Registered Office Ownership Document- In case of rented premises RENT AGREEMENT is required otherwise NOC.
- Any other license obtained from other department (PT, IEC, shop & establishment etc)
- Sole proprietorship trade name, if any
- List of traded goods or services.
Partnership firm / LLP
- Partnership/LLP Pan card
- PAN cards of partners
- Aadhar cards of partners
- Passport size Photographs of Partners
- Copy of partnership firm deed and registration certificate
- List of traded goods or services.
- Bank Details – Copy of cancelled cheque or first page of Pass Book or first page of recent bank
statement - Registered Office Documents-Copy of electricity bill/landline bill, water Bill in the name of company/LLP etc. or in case the premises is rented, Rent agreement is required.
- Any other license obtained from other department (PT, IEC, shop & establishment etc)
